Our journey began with a love for Italian cuisine and a desire to bring the authentic flavors of Italy to the streets of Copenhagen. We wanted to create a restaurant that combined traditional Italian cooking techniques with the laid-back atmosphere of street food culture.
Naturally, this lead to focus on the focaccia, a classic Italian bread that's versatile, flavorful, and perfect for creating delicious street food dishes. Our focaccia is made fresh daily, using a secret family recipe that's been passed down for generations. We combine this artisanal bread with the freshest ingredients, creating a taste that's both authentic and innovative.
Our focacceria places great emphasis on the association of flavors, with all ingredients and condiments meticulously combined to work together in harmony. This careful planning allows us to create a menu that is not only delicious but also perfectly balanced in taste. Each item on our menu has been carefully curated to highlight the best of Italian cuisine, with a focus on the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. Welcome to La Posata, the culmination of my lifelong passion for food. Originally from Italy, my upbringing was heavily influenced by my grandparents from Puglia and Sicily, who instilled in me a deep appreciation for traditional Italian cuisine. After moving to Copenhagen at the age of twelve, I was exposed to Danish culture and cuisine, which broadened my culinary horizons even further.
After completing my studies in hospitality management at the prestigious Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne (EHL), I had the opportunity to work in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. Despite having the world at my fingertips, I chose to bring my culinary vision to Copenhagen, a city that holds a special place in my heart and where I could share my love of food with the world.
At La Posata, I combine my creative flair with traditional Italian recipes to create dishes that are both familiar and innovative. Using only the highest quality ingredients, I transform simple ingredients into culinary masterpieces that are sure to delight your senses. But more than just the food, my warm and inviting personality and my commitment to hospitality create an atmosphere that feels like home.
My passion for food comes from my grandmother, or "Nonna'' as we call her in Italy. She is my biggest source of inspiration and creation when it comes to food. I have so many memories of escaping classes on Wednesday lunch not to miss Pasta all' Pesto from my Nonna, and Saturdays at the fresh market, where we could walk for hours just looking at products, talking, and sharing with local farmers. These experiences have shaped me into the chef and person I am today.
